We hope you will join us on Sunday afternoon October 15, 2017 at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM). The ROM is hosting a special lecture on Fashion from the 60s through to the 90s to help Marilyn launch her long-awaited book, Behind the Seams*.
To discuss that extraordinary time in fashion, joining Brooks on the panel, moderated by Dr. Alexandra Palmer, the ROM’s Senior Curator of Fashion Costume, are Canadian television personality, fashion editor, author and newspaper columnist with the Globe and Mail, Jeanne Beker; former editor-in-chief of FASHION and former Toronto Star fashion editor, Bernadette Morra; and executive director of the Toronto Fashion Incubator, Susan Langdon*.
We will soon be making an announcement for this FREE event (which only requires you to advance register online) but we wanted to give you early notice so you can note it in your busy fall calendar. Limited theatre seating is available with doors opening at 1:30 pm.
Copies of Behind the Seams: 40 Years of Adventures in Fashion, Music & Art, from the Swingin’ Sixties Onwards, will be available for sales and signing after the event by Marilyn and her co-author Peter Jennings!
Make sure you subscribe to our mailing list for advance notice!
Looking forward to seeing you on October 15th!
